"Aunt Cynthia’s Cabin"  is the latest full-length, self-titled album from the San Diego trio, bringing together the band's blend of heavy psych, surf rock, and desert rock. The album continues the band's use of Western guitar tones, spring reverb, and psychedelic arrangements.

Recorded and mixed by Brennan Justice in an isolated barn in Camp Verde, Arizona, "Aunt Cynthia’s Cabin" was created outside of a traditional studio environment, giving the trio more room to develop the recordings on their own terms. The album is available on heavyweight 180g vinyl, CD, and digital formats through Black Throne Productions.

About Aunt Cynthia's Cabin:

Aunt Cynthia's Cabin is a three-piece from San Diego, California featuring Brennan Justice, Anthony DeFreitas, and Jeremy Luvaas.

Justice and DeFreitas previously played together in a surf rock ensemble, where they developed the Western guitar tones and heavy use of spring reverb that would become central to Aunt Cynthia's Cabin. The band's name came from a fictional 1970s murder mystery novel invented by the trio during a drunken night, fitting their interest in strange, heavy, and slightly uncanny territory.

The band began as a self-recording project using a home-built analog-meets-digital setup. In 2019, they travelled from San Diego to Austin, Texas to record Misty Woman with producer Adrian Quesada at Electric Deluxe Recorders. Originally released by Nasoni Records in 2020, Misty Woman later returned on vinyl and CD through Black Throne Productions in 2025 with the addition of "Magic Touch."

With Aunt Cynthia’s Cabin, the band returned to a more self-contained recording process, working from an isolated barn in Camp Verde, Arizona. The result continues Aunt Cynthia's Cabin's combination of psychedelic rock, surf guitar, desert atmosphere, and heavy rock.
