Sydney psychedelic heavyweights Robot God return in 2026 with their second full length album of the year, Curse of the Driven, a record that pushes the band’s trademark blend of heavy riffs, psychedelic exploration and groove driven jams into darker and more expansive territory.

Following the release of Onto the Afterlife earlier this year, Robot God have wasted no time in turning the page. Curse of the Driven is the next chapter in a year that has already seen the band step up their output, profile and international reach.

The album will be released on October 16th, 2026, with vinyl editions available through German heavy music label Kozmik Artifactz and US/Canada distributor Black Throne Productions.

Curse of the Driven has already started to reveal itself through a series of singles, including the title track “Curse of the Driven” and “Lucid Reality”, and the next single “Drifting into Overdrive” slated for release on Sept 11th, giving listeners an early glimpse of what lies ahead. These tracks showcase a band that hasn't lost sight of the riff, but is equally comfortable letting songs breathe, rock out and take unexpected turns.

Earlier this year, Robot God released Onto the Afterlife, their fifth full length release and the first half of an ambitious double album year. Recorded at The Grove Studios, Onto the Afterlife delivered crushing stoner grooves, hypnotic psychedelic textures and fuzz-heavy dynamics, exploring themes of mortality, transformation and the unknown.

Curse of the Driven takes that momentum somewhere else. There is still plenty of weight in the riffs, but the new album digs deeper into the experimental side of Robot God moving between driving hard rock, spaced-out passages, heavy grooves and the kind of extended instrumental moments that have become a defining part of the band's live sound.

Rather than simply repeating what came before, Curse of the Driven feels like a natural progression of the band's original vision, three musicians bringing their individual styles together, leaving room for the songs to evolve while keeping the riffs and grooves firmly at the centre. From the opening notes to the final jam, this is Robot God doing what they do best, turning volume, fuzz and rhythm into a trip worth taking.

With two albums released in 2026, new singles already out in the wild, international shows on the horizon and vinyl coming through Kozmik Artifactz and Black Throne Productions, Robot God are closing out the year with their most ambitious album yet.
